Our comprehensive course covers the following:

• Tool Selection and Use
• Leather Selection
• Leather Dyeing
• Measuring, Marking, and Cutting
• Stitch Marking and Saddle Stitching
• Edge Preparation and Edge Dressing

You’ll receive:

• All materials, tools, and sundries needed for the day
• The leather item you make during the course (worth £40.00)
• A complimentary basic leatherworker’s tool kit (worth £20.00)

No additional costs or fees are required.

• Start Time (9.30AM): The course begins promptly with introductions and a brief overview of the day ahead.
• Morning Session: Hands-on learning, covering the basics of leather selection, marking, cutting, and stitching.
• Lunch Break (1.00PM): Lunch is not provided, so please bring your own provisions. Information about local amenities and accommodations will follow.
• Afternoon Sessions: Continue with your leather project, focusing on customisation, edge finishing, and assembly.
• Wrap-Up (5.00PM): By the end of the day, you’ll complete your leather notepad cover and leave equipped with your own toolkit and newfound skills.

Tea and coffee are provided throughout the day, with freshly brewed coffee on tap—ideal for those who appreciate a good cup while working.

The nature of the leatherworking activities we offer involves the use of tools and equipment that may carry an inherent risk of injury if not handled properly. While every effort is made to ensure safety and provide proper instruction, participants must acknowledge and accept these risks. All participants must be over 18 years of age. By booking onto a Journeyman Handcraft activity or workshop, you are declaring that:

• You are physically and medically capable of undertaking the booked activity.
• You can follow instructions in English.
• You take responsibility for your own safety.
• You agree to follow the advice and guidance provided by the instructor at all times.
• You understand that failing to follow safety guidelines may result in injury.

1. Payments:

Payment for workshops must be made in full at the time of booking via the website. Bookings are only confirmed once full payment has been received, and a confirmation email has been sent to you.

1.1 Workshop bookings are non-refundable.

1.2 If you are unable to attend a workshop, you may write to us to request a change to the date. Rescheduling is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

1.3 Requests to reschedule must be made at least one month (30 days) prior to the workshop date. Requests made later than one month before the workshop will result in the loss of the full cost of the course.

1.4 By completing your booking, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in their entirety.

2. Cancelled by us:

It’s important to know where you stand if we are unable to fulfill our commitment. A cancellation will always be a last resort.

2.1 If unforeseen circumstances force us to cancel a workshop, we will offer an alternative date or provide a full refund.
2.2 Cancellations due to events outside our control, such as emergencies, may result in rescheduling the workshop or a full refund at our discretion.
