Pioneer Trade Knife

£199.00

The basis of the Pioneer is to offer a functional tool in a simple package. No unnecessary bells or whistles just classic practicality! The design takes inspiration from the traditional trade knife blade shape whilst keeping the size and Scandinavian grind of the classic bushcraft knife used commonly today.

The handle is again simple, but incredibly comfortable in the hand for both the smaller handed and larger handed folk. The benefit of a fully rounded handle is there are never any hot spots regardless of hand size/type.

The beautiful English Ash scales are pinned to the tang via 6 4mm copper pins, each peaned over for a long lasting and secure fit! The timber on your knife will vary somewhat from the photos.

The blade is 01 tool steel from Sheffield  meaning every bit of the materials in these knives are UK sourced, as well the manufacturing of the knives themselves by Gloucestershire based Wilder Ways and the sheaths made in house by ourselves means they’re fully in keeping with our ethos of keeping things made and sourced entirely in the UK!

The blades have an oil quenched finish which is a good rust preventative however being carbon steel they will need a regular coat of oil to keep them looking their best.

The sheath is a brown pull up leather sheath again in keeping with the traditional trade knife style we’re going for.
